Like a virgin....
Hello all good friends from SRP!
You had probably many posts like this one, again new member who share news about his restoration… well I will do the same.
This is my first straight razor I have restored but do not honed yet. It took some time and reading from SRP ( thank you to all for all great posts) to achieve my goal but finally here it is.
Sorry for my not clear pictures as I don`t have macro lens for my camera and I did my best to capture final effect of my 4 days of work.
Not sure really about blade quality in regards of shaving experience but I hope it will be rewarding. I`m looking for opinion if anyone has ever used this blade and let me know if it was bad choice purchasing this particular razor.

Any purchase that you learn from is a good one - so, therefore, it is not a bad purchase.
It looks like you've done really good job - even better considering that it is your first one.
Get it honed and let us know how it shaves.
It should be fine 'cause I have heard good reports on this brand.
Hang on and enjoy the rideHang on and enjoy the ride...

Yes,
I did learn already from buying... first is to listen to all experts in this forum before buying, asking for more pictures before buying anything from anywhere... well we live and learn.
Now I have few extra scales and few training razors (and don`t get me wrong, I`m staring with honing and stropping but even now I was able to determinate that I bought a junk) which help me understand honing to the level, which will make me happy "men" man.
Thank you all!

Thanked: 1936Please, forget about learning to hone right now. First you need to get the whole shave routine down first...it's a lot to learn. Once you learn proper prep, shave (norm is around 30 shaves), strop...then entertain touching up a razor and work backwards. This would help to keep the journey enjoyable as learning to hone is not like sharpening a knife. A "razor sharp" knife edge is sometimes where we START with a straight.
