Thanked: 3Modern Wedges
I'm looking for a modern wedge (or near wedge). Any recommendations? It seems the vendor websites advertise mostly full hollows.
Thanks.

About the only modern razors that come close to a wedge grind are the Hart Steel razors. They are 1/4 hollow ground. You could also comission one from one of the custom makers.

Thanked: 3Thanks Theseus. I'm thinking of a custom, but was wondering if there are any available short of that route. I'll look at the Hart Steel razors.

Wacker is one route, or Robert Williams here in the USA or Mastrto Livi from Italy. SRD is a USA distributor for Mastro and can get you a custom on special order if they don't have any in stock. Other than that you're going to have to go vintage unless I'm badly mistaken. I don't think Joe Chandler is making razors presently, or Josh Earl either.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
