Since my skin is smooth but my whiskers are strong, I prefer wedges. They reduce the risk of scratching my skin and increase the shaving precision. And, I like they're silent!

Why do you find them to be a pain to strop? Just curious.

I voted full hollow....for now. I purchased my first wedge not too long ago. Not sure what I think about it. For whatever reason the ingrown hairs returned after I started using it. Not sure what thats about....
I'm a sucker for a stamped tail. Giggity.

That sounds more about technique with using a newly acquired razor. I get the best shave off of my half hollow Torrey. I think I like my half hollow because it gives less resistance through longer whiskers. But then again I think my Torrey is my favorite and best shaver all together, would like to get some more Torreys!

Out of my 3 razors only one is full hollow and it gives a very close shave in few passes but can be difficult on final touch ups vs my other two half hollows that I require a couple passes to get the same closeness. Granted I have very little to compare with, it mostly depends on what shape my face is in. Have not had the pleasure of trying a wedge or near wedge. I voted half hollow

I prefer quarter or half. I have a quarter hollow Genco that blows my beard away.

We need "all of the above".

The thicker grinds hone slower but better as a beginner.
The full hollow hone quickly with almost no effort.

IMLE, The very very full hollow and singing blades
hate a heavy hand that works fine on the heavy
    blades.

In a handful of double duck razors the thin Wonder edge
are very different from the Special N°1 when
honing. Correctly sharpened both shave well
with the Wonder edge edging out the others.

There are more than four grinds. Some full hollows are
    much thicker than others.

For me, how straight & even the grind is, is more important than what style the grind is.

Super hollow and singing thank you.

But a nice smooth 1/4 is awesome as well.
