Naw,will let her rest in peace,Is not the rig,has nothing to do with it,all my other blades are just fine.
Over the years anything could have happend to the blade,A great lesson as to just how friable razor edges are.

Hey, I take your word it's not the grease, but just for my enlightenment, "what is rig grease"?

    Curious,

Rig grease was developed by the military years ago as a rust preventitive for everything but mostly firearms.
I hunt ducks in local salt ponds, nothing protects shotguns better than rig, will never stop using it.

Thanks! I had just never heard of it and was curious. We were still cleaning Cosmoline off our gear when I was in. It worked, but I'll never forget the smell.

    Thanks!

I would recommend you try using Rennaisance Wax.
Professional grade treatment used by curators around the world, developed by the National British Museum.
Clinically tested for preserving precious metals, woods, plastics etc etc.
I wouldn´t compare a gun barrel to a precision ground razor for many reasons.......also I dont hunt ducks with my razors

You'd need water and sugar for that... enjoy your lemon juice!
