I would say for edge retention my Wostenholm wedge would probably be one of my top contenders. It hasn't seen a hone for nearly 3 years.

    Surely you jest?

Dead heat: C.V. Heljestrand and Imperial Extra Hollow Ground. Both seem to just get sharper with stropping and use. Once they do start to dull a quick touch up once or twice a year and they're right back in the ball game.
The older I get, the better I was

Believe it or not, it's a stainless steel model. I love my old carbon razors but I get the best shave from SS and it seems to hold its edge forever.

    xMackx,

The nicest shaving razor I have is my Genco Fluid Steel; the longest lasting edges are on my TI C135 steel half-hollow 5/8.

    Have fun !

    Best regards

    Russ
