Default What is going on with Wacker?

Is anyone else experienceing order problems with Wacker?

I contacted Wacker directly and was emailed a price and then an invoice right away. On 11/28/11 I sent payment via PayPal and ever since Wacker has not responded to any of my emails asking about the status of my order and I have not received the razor. I put a claim in with PayPal last week and now PayPal is waiting for Wacker to respond to my claim. So far they haven't and it doesn't look like they will.

Fortunately, PayPal will refund my payment in full but this just makes me sick because I really want that razor.

Am I the only one with this BAD LUCK?

I've heard the same story many, many times. Most people seem to get their razors eventually.

I assumed he would have some in stock but it sounds like he might be making the razor from scratch. Should I cancel my PayPal claim and wait? I'm pretty sure that if I cancel my claim I won't be able to reopen it.

I ordered a Revisor around the same time and it only took a little over a week to arrive.

That is good to know. Unfortunately, patience is not my strong point especially when it comes to my money.

Maybe I'll call PayPal and talk to them first before I cancel the claim.

    Update:

On the 19th PayPal refunded my payment due to no response from Wacker on my claim. However, I still want the razor so I sent Wacker an email telling them so and asked them to let me know when it was ready to be shipped then I would send payment again.

What do you know, I received a reply from Wacker this morning saying they would be shipping the razor today.

I hope you don't think the customer service is any better w/ any of the other mfrs. Its made me swear off any new purchases of Soligen makers.

I presume you haven't wanted any of John's offerings at shavingshop.com. I have 3 from John and am quite happy w/ his service. I will hone my own of I were to buy any more, but he's great to work with.

Don't write them all off. I've ordered from Revisor three times this last year. It has always been an easy transaction, and I have always received the razor within two weeks of sending payment by paypal. They send their packages by signature (certified ?) mail. I don't believe there's a tracking number. I've heard from other guys here that they can't do real time tracking on international stuff because the carriers change. Maybe you could request UPS?

Anyway, Revisor has great service, fast shipping and great razors.
