Im looking for my first straight razor and want it to be an antique. I also like the rounded tip because I suppose its less likely I will cut myself and also looking for extra hollow ground as I learned that makes for a better edge.

If Im in California, do you think it will be expensive to get it honed?

Im currently looking at the below and wonder if you have any tips on how I can get a good used antique for less than $50

- Imperial Razor Registered 20507 which I can purchase for $27 Just a plain black handle but extra holow ground and looks excellent condition

- A vintage OJ Razor Vintage OJ Geneva Cutlery Extra Hollow Ground Round Point Straight Razor 5 8 | eBay

- A Regeldso that says 54 on the tang. But I have no idea what year it is.

- Im bidding on a Gotta right now that is already at 28.00 and has 3 days to go , so will probably get expensive

I am checking for rust and pitting and making sure they have a good edge. Any advice you have for the new guy?
