Geneva razors were manufactured in Geneva NY. The company name was changed to Genco and later bought out by Case. Lots of info here on SRP with a search. Other members may jump in to assist. Good razors. I have a post from a while ago nameg 'A Genco day and more' Give it a search.

I have 8 Genco, Fluid Steel marked razors, like any normal person, and they are also great shavers. I picked one up along the way and liked it. Then there was a set of 6 in a barber's cloth roll and I snagged that. Finally one marked, Made In USA For McPherson Brothers Cutlers, Glasgow, on the tang with "Special Fluid Steel, Registered" etched on the belly of the blade. I am pretty sure it is a Genco too.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

It would be hard to overstate how good Geneva/Gencos are. I don't blather further on that, but the Genevas I've had seem to have a bit more weight and girth in the shank, which is more comfortable for those w/ larger hands. I've had about 8 that measured .006" thick (compared to .0075 for the last 4 Satinedges I measured). If you don't mind making or buying scales, its likely a very good razor. Pics would help.

I can't really add much else that's been said about the company but I can say they are great razors. A Geneva was one of my first straights too.
