Size: 62.6 KB So I went to an antique shop by me (western NY) and picked up this razor for 10 bucks it has almost no rust but a pretty dark patina it is still pretty sharp and I gave it a couple of passes on a barbers hone and then 100 passes on the strop and it pops arm hair just fine. Just wondering what you guys think/is it worth restoring. Any info about the company would be appreciated too.

Nice find. Popping hair means it may be sharp but does it give a comfortable shave? Totally different measures. Some edges can't pop hairs but give a great shave. Just something to keep in mind. You're in/near Webster NY? It would be great to see you at one of our WNY SRP meets. We may have one in April.

Yeah I go to SUNY Geneseo for undergraduate. I wish I started sooner I am unfortunately a second semester senior but if there is one in april it would be pretty cool to meet up. I'm a little nervous to shave with it, it could just be what I call the baby affliction (I like shiny things especially when those things are going to be used on or around my face). I kind of want to send it out to get polished and honed, but that is fairly expensive.

Metal polish is fairly cheap, my friend, and so is fine steel wool.
Giving the blade a good rub down while watching TV is even cheaper.
Try giving that a shot before anything else.
I'm sure one of your neighbours from SRP would help you out with honing, too.
You have nothing to lose by trying.
Good luck - hang on and enjoy the ride
