I own a Dovo Maestro - different finish and spinework on the same blade as the Special and Best Quality - that's my favorite shaver these days, immediately followed by the Evide Sonnant. If I could get only one for daily shaving, it would be a Dovo - but then I don't know the Timor (yet!).
WHAT?!?! With a user name like HamburgO (Hamburg Ring) You've never used a Timor?!?! I'm shocked!

There is nothing inherently wrong with vintage. I find that most vintage blades are plagued with tarnish, pitting, rust, scratches, excessive/uneven hone wear, worn down spine, etc to name a few.
the ones which are NOS cost a fortune. (like those Henckles and Philarmonica's which are $600)

Have you tried the Revisor website? They offer new Revisors and NOS vintage razors in many sizes including 6/8s and larger.

Wow! Thanks Matt! are those euro signs?

EDIT: those are some interesting razors indeed. has anyone had any experiences? this one looks tempting, but I don't know whether or not it will keep a good edge or whatnot.

Yes the prices are in Euros. I and others on SRP have had good dealings with them (I bought a vintage Bartmann), and the Revisor model razors are very well regarded. Do a forums search for Revisor and you surely find more threads to read.

And to top it all off - I was born and raised in Hamburg... Think I'll have to get a Timor soon!

BTW, the undisputed best barber shop in Hamburg has its storefront window filled (and I mean filled, wish I had a picture!) exclusivley with Dovos. Also sells the full line of T&H products, PILS DE razors, and the (ugh) "high-end" Mach Fusions - and of course offers the classic straight shave, haircuts, and gentleman's manicures!

    Thank you very much gentleman.
I ended up buying a 6/8 dovo best quality full hollow. it is an excellent shaver. but I now I want to buy a larger size. I wish they made more 8/8 razors.
