Default Josmon´s magnetic paste to soften shaving - from Filarmonica

Found this with a razor lot in a vintage market the other week.
At first I didn´t know what it was, but when I read JOSMON on the box I grabbed it.
I thought some of us might like to see some photos as its not easy to come by.
If you look on the interior part of a Filarmonica razor case you will see printed advertising promoting their brand of strop paste.
This one says "magnatized" so maybe they had more than one type?
If anyone else has another variety maybe you could share it with us.

Note the typo:- "paste" is written as "past"

    Nice razor indeed.

As far as the magnetic paste goes I doubt it means much. Probably has some powdered magnetite in it or similar. Did you check if it is magnetic?

Excellent score. I wish I could find a filly at an antique store. I would probably end up paying full price because I wouldn't be able to contain my excitement. There is an antique show next month. Last year, I scored a mint 7 day set and a really nice torrey scalloped back with a MOP tang. I hope hunting is just as good this year.

No doubt you are right but I will check anyway to see if it is actually magnetic or not and report back.
I was guessing maybe they had a variety of pastes on offer and was intertested if anyone had seen others.

    Sorry of the confusion.
I bought this razor from a collector previously.
I just grabbed the first photo I had of a Filarmonica case with the JOSMON label to show what I was talking about.
Please give us an update as to the vintage market comming up.
Definitely exciting and rewarding to find unwanted treasure

    TBS,
as expected you were right. Neither the fridge mangets nor the fridge door had any effect on this "magnetic" paste.
    No surprises there really.
