    Default Four old straights

I just bought this lot of older straights for $75 and was wondering if that was a good price or did i get taken? I posted several images on my profile along with a brief description of the razors. I was wondering if any of you seasoned collectors could possible give me some insight. It would be greatly appreciated. http://straightrazorpalace.com/membe...el-albums.html

Well appraisals are verboten on SRP. But it all depends on what they are worth to you, now obviously that was 75 bucks. They may be worth more to others or less to some. Very subjective. Only you can really answer your question

@ tsunami I understand appraisals are verboten. I was just wondering if anyone has seen any of these sell before and if so for how much also to see if anyone knew any history on the brands. I was able to find some info on the Wester bros but have been unable to find anything on the others. I'm especially curious about the Nielson's Never Fail 4/8 I can't find anything on the brand. I just want to add that I love the razors and have no intent on selling was merely trying to see if it was good deal or not.

I can't help with the history other than point you to the SR database here on SRP. I looked at your pics and think you got a good deal.

Moderator Note: Appraisals and/or valuations are not allowed in the open forum no matter how you word the request. For values, try ebay completed sales.

As they say. Look at completed sales. I sold a Nielsen just like yours last month and I also could find no info on the maker except for GOINS' guessing they were in business 1910-1930. Search completed under my name and you will see what it sold for.

Don't sweat it man, you did well. From what I can see the razors are in great shape! That 4/8 has beautiful scales!
