I have a number of frame backs ranginging from a premium one from John Crowley to a very inexpensive Eskiltuna I picked up on Ebay. They're all excellent shavers and very easy to sharpen. They all have fixed blades.

I'd love to get one with exchangeable blades, if only for my collection.

    Blade Wielder is selling his.

I might be selling mine but it would take a while to get it honed and try a test shave, as I have many others before I get to it. I also like the fact that you can take this for travels - if something happens to one blade, you can easily use another

And, for the record, I have difficulty getting a frameback to shave as well as some of my hollows. WHich does not say much, as I am quite the newb

    Cheers

I'm looking for one with replaceable blades (at least one extra). What I'm thinking is that it would be great for travel, because I could put the razor in my carry-on (to keep it safe) and just pack the blade. I never take a str8 when I travel, because you have to leave the checked luggage unlocked, and I just know it's going to disappear.

If yours meets my needs, I'd be happy to buy it as is. I can do my own honing.

    Joe,

I know you can hone - what I meant was that I buy razors and do not like to sell them (usually) before I get them honed and tested so that I can decide if I want to keep them or not. I mean, what I buy - I like, I don't just try to find cheap razors so that I can turn around and sell them at a profit or something.

Tell you what - I have at least 2 months till I get to start working on this one in the first place. I can send it to you for a while - you can hone it and use it for several months, travel with it, whatever. At some point, which I think might be 4-5 months, I would like to get it back to test shave. If I like it - I keep it (and get a 'free' honing from you. If not - you can have it back for, um, say $32 (my cost). Now, if all this sounds unreasonable - I apologize, do not mean to offend or take advantage of you, just wanted to help you out

    Cheers
    Ivo

    Sounds good Ivo.

Let's continue this discussion by PM, instead of here in public.
