Yes, the Feather Artist Club is a good shaving system.
I started out with one, and while I shave with a real straight most days now, the AC still does see usage every so often.
For my daily head shaves it is in fact my preferred system

Same thing here, for my head shaves (every two days) this is what I prefer. I have both the folding and non folding ones, both are great but the non folding is a bit too small for my very big hands so it doesn't get used much, same reason I don't like to use a kamisori razor. I mostly use straights but once or twice a week I grab the DX for a real close and fast shave. When people order one of these they either like them a lot and keep them or they sell them almost immediately (see the cuts and blood messages).

I've got one of the teak handled folding one and you'll have to pry it out of my hand when I'm dead.

I own a Feather AC - SS and several straight razors, and a Feather AS - D1 DE razor, and will say this, and this is only my opinion, so it's not written in stone and I dont want to whip up a traditional straight V the Feather straight fight because i think it wont last more than one round, my Feather straight will wipe the floor with any straight razor I own in a shaving contest, and I own some very sharp vintage straight razors, I would say to any traditional user give the Feather a go I think it will put a big ? inside your head about straight razor shaving.

    Regards Jamie.

I have the cheapest folding one, whatever model that is. It's a wonderful razor. I do enjoy a leisurely straight shave now and then but have never got the hang of honing! I have a few nice old trad straights and they make good butter knives after my honing attempts!

And no, I wouldn't sell the Feather! Get one, you won't regret it.

for those who own traditional straights and strops as well, have any of you tried stropping the feather blade to extend the life of the blade before changing?

I have on a pasted strop, it works but you might only prolong the life of the blade by 2 to 3 shaves at most. Not really worth the trouble IMO.

I found that in the beginning I got about 6-7 shaves out of a blade, these days I get a lot more out of one blade even when head shaving.

Yea, and my Iwasaki Kamisori will wipe the floor with your feather straight any day of the week.
