    I wish the scales were still good but I think they blade will clean up and make for a fun first restoration project

    Those scales could still be good for a shorter blade. Just sand the blade end round and reposition the pivot pin hole. Don't throw them away.

    I'm a pack rat so I know they won't get thrown out LOL Besides without them I wouldn't have known it was a Wostenholm and Son celebrated razor from their Washington works. I will use them for a pattern for the new scales and steal the wedge out of it

    I wonder how hard it would be to make a mold of the original scales and have some made to match...

    If you would like, you could send those scales to me and I could laser etch a new set of wooden scales to match the original including that design on the scales.
    It would take me a little work to recreate the design on Coreldraw 15 but the final product would rock!

    I think laser etched wood scales sound like the best idea so far. That's what I missed about my last job, having access to a water jet and getting to do all that kinda stuff. I will PM you about it tomorrow.
