Exciting market find today - 6/8 Bishop & Day
BISHOP & DAY 5 WALBROOK (the 5 might be an "s")
This is the first razor I have with vintage rubber scales. Unpolished just as I found it.
6/8 near wedge, barbers notch, thumb notch, lead spacer, original brass pins and collars.
The tang is slender and well shaped but the tail is rather thick. There is no upper or lower jimping.
No stamping on reverse side with country of manufacture etc.
I am guessing English 1880s. If so I don´t know if its from Sheffield or not.
As yet I cannot find any info online.
Has anyone come across one of these?
