Muted?? That razor has been forever silenced via a Colombian Necktie

Yes, that tip is closer to a round point in its current state. Still very effective for sideburns, you shouldn't have any problems. Like my avatar, I frequently sport the 'burns, but I do all my shaping with the razor's edge, not the tip.

This is what 'slightly' muted should look like:

Will I still be able to cleanly cut along my sideburns, north-south, with that tip?

Not as well as you would with a square point, wether it be muted or not. Without the square tip you can not be as precise.

I learned on a round point, so that's why I don't use any of my square tips for my sideburns. Learned to use the blade edge and I've just stuck with that.

You can do pretty good with a round point, but if you want hair by hair precision you need a square or spike.

Spike points are fun, and I've got the scars to prove it.

    This is what I got:
I believe that's called the "Sight Unseen Spike Point"
The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.
