According Henry T. Lummus:
Many blades of the 1820-1833 period had mottoes or "cutlers' posies" stamped on them,—such as "Old English",
"Try me one term," and "You lather well and I'll shave well."Alex Ts.

Thanked: 56Thanks Guys, tbh manah, that's what I was thinking, but I didn't want to get confused with the "old English" part being the qualifier for the England stamp.

But I think the stamp "Real Old English Razor" isn't the same as "Old English".
(I've put Lummus's quote to ask fatnash why after 1840.)
Because, for example, the stamp "The Old English Razor" was dated between 1850 and 1870.Alex Ts.

"Thier Majesties" became so in 1840.
Before 1840 it would have been Her Majestie for Queen Victoria
She married and it became Thier Majesties

You're absolutely right. Thanks.
After 1837.
I didn't look at the tang stamp.
I thought only about "Real Old English Razor" stamp.Alex Ts.
