Thread: Where can I buy new 8/8 (and larger) razors?

Good day,
I need to add a couple more razors to my humble rotation and I prefer hefty blades (6/8 the very least but I much prefer 8/8 and 7/8).
I have an 8/8 revisor already.
Unfortunately they don't make many new 8/8 razors these days.
I know of the 15/16 wacker "don't tread on me" razor and 8/8 revisors but I am not aware of other brands that may be out there.

I like W&B but they are really expensive I am looking for something hopefully under $300.


Please let me know if you are aware of other good new 8/8 shavers.

If you're lookinf for brand new 8/8 razors you're basically stuck with Revisors, customs or the new Fridours which don't have the best reputation, especially compared to it's vintage counterparts. There is a much wider selection of 8/8 when you look at the vintage market, most of which can be had for under $300.

Sorry, I believe It will be pretty difficult to find an 8/8 straight razor under $ 300. Wacker offers a new 8/8, half-hollowed blade with buffalo horn scales, the magna tondere. But it is nearly US-$ 600.

Thanks for the responses. you are right most 8/8 I see these days are more than my budget.
there are NOS filarmonica ones which cost ~$500 and there are the W&Bs which are of course very expensive.
I should just eye down ebay auctions on W&Bs and hope to get lucky I guess.

There is a 15/16 Wade & Butcher in the SRP classifieds right now for $120.
