Ok. The most correct is Kronenberg, Rheinland.
The distance between Kronenberg, Netherlands and Cronenberg, Germany is 112 km.
And why is Kronenberg in all references, but not Wuppertal-Kronenberg?

Back then in 1869 until the 1920s Kronenberg was written with "K", today it is written Cronenberg with "C" again at the begin.
There were and there are still today some other PICARD's companies around the area in Cronenberg and the neighbourtown Remscheid.
I own myself two of W.PICARD's straight razors, both very heavy knifes with large blades.

Those straight razors were produced in the late 19th century from 1870 to 1890 and sold until the 1920s.

Because it wasn't that until 1929 Alex.

It was first a parish, then achieved village status, then city status, then became part of the Solingen district and then when the boundaries were re-arranged yet again it became an administrative district of Wuppertal in 1929.

Presumably there is a reason why a man called Carl Greis had another man's name - W. Picard - on his razors. It's usually the result of one company buying the other... perhaps Solinger could enlighten us further.

There is nothing else to say - it is exactly as Neil Miller already said before.
It seems that Neil has a better geopolitic history knowledge of the RHINELAND area than me, wo is living here for 52 years...
