    Default Clubman Sterilize

    Hey guys,

I'm thinking of putting a little clubman on the blades of the razors right after the shave to sterilize them or use it to sterilize the blades of my antique shop finds. I saw the thread about alcohol and I know Clubman has alcohol in it so I am wondering if this is okay because the blades wont be submerged they will simply get splashed with it and left to air dry.

    Thanks

    Hey there,
I don't know why you would sterilize your razor after you use it, unless you intend to sell it or let a friend use it? To sterilize antique shop finds, I wash the blades (and scales) with soap and water, then use a strong TCP (antiseptic disinfectant) solution to clean them. If you are going to polish them up and hone them then the cleaning method doesn't really matter too much so long as it is effective. From a purely scientific perspective, it is unlikely anything will be alive on there anyway
