Thanked: 0Biglers Best, Beatrice Nebraska
I have a straight razor with Biglers Best, Beatrice Nebraska. The Razor is stamped made in Germany. Does anyone know anything about this razor?

Pics are helpful in razor identification.

I would guess Biglers was just a retail establishment of sorts and had the razors made for them in Germany by person or persons unknown.

You could possibly find out about Biglers. Sometimes the "hardware Store" retailers have neat history.

Thanked: 0Hello,
Thank you for responding. There is nothing on the reverse side. It only reads E. Bigley Beatrice, Nebraska. It then has Germany stamped underneath. I was curious and did a little research. There was a sheriff named Bigley in Nebraska who retired and opened a hardware store in Beatrice Nebraska. It looks to be around the turn of the last century. late 1800's to early 1900's when it might have been made.

I did a little search. There is a Toyota dealer in Lincoln, Nebraska named Bigley. Sometimes these names yield family members and old family businesses.
Depends on how hard you work on this stuff. Somebody, somewhere knows the history!"Don't be stubborn. You are missing out."
I rest my case.
