Default TI Razor Markings on the Back Side.

What does the letter signify? I have 2 TIs and one is stamped "R" and the other is "V". Each one seems to be different blade shape...although supposedly same model - Art of Shaving black handle TI.

As I recall when they started with the newer steel models they used letter designations.

I'm sure an expert on this will come along.

I think it is (or at least it was) something to do with different batches of razors. Each batch (composed of three hundred razors) were heat-treated individually, and the letters identify them as belonging to so-and-so batch.
