Thanked: 0Found this at a garage sale - A.W. Staniforth Cutler Cardift
Hi, I recently misplaced my straight razor in a move so I was looking for a temp to get me by. I found this razor randomly and wanted to get some input from the pros out there. It's a bit worn but holds a nice edge. Was wondering if anyone knew about the markings and if I got what i paid for out of it. Any input would be greatly appreciated. It set me back about 20 bucks.
The box it came with reads Joseph Rodgers & Sons so I think the box is mismatched with the razor.

Welcome to SRP. I got lucky and snagged 4 of those in a 4 day set with original box. All honed up to be stellar shavers. Here is a thread I posted on them with photos and what info I was able to pick up on the web about the maker. Get it honed by a pro if you're not skilled at the art yourself for best results. Go to the SRP classifieds and you'll find members who hone for a nominal fee under 'member services'.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
