Any idea what the manufacture date is of a Friodur 472 razor?
Hello,
I tried the database and a search and couldn't find the answer, I'm a newbie though so I might have just not looked hard enough. I'm guessing it's not that old because the blade is inox (stainless?). Really nice razor that I bought off the classifieds here, I'm just trying to figure out it's approximate age. I tried google as well but no luck. Razor is a Friodur 472. I'm thinking it's from the 1970's, am I close? Thanks in advance guys

After doing a little more searching online I found another 472 listed and it said it was made in the mid 20th century... Lol, kind of broad but I'm guessing they're saying in the 50's maybe? Little older than I thought, cool! Razor is beautiful, I'm very happy with the purchase

Very true. I wasn't after an exact date, just a "ballpark" idea. I don't know much (anything?) about the straights and am just trying to learn... Lol, I don't even know what dates the twins were used on but I will try to find it. By the way, thank you for a very pleasant purchase, the razor is beautiful, you do very nice work

Thank you kindly, the logo on mine is the 1969 one
. Gives me an idea of the year. I'm sorry if my question seemed newbish (lol, which it was) but I'm just trying to learn. Thanks again for posting the logo styles, I doubt I would have found that online.

Hi -- I just bought a Friodur with what appears to be the "1969 logo". Do we know if and when it was changed after that...you know...so we can "bracket" the date of manufacture. If that same logo is still being used today, we're looking at a pretty wide bracket ranging from 1969 to 2012!
