    Default TRU-EDGE

No idea about this one. Belongs to a friend. I'm cleaning it up and putting an edge on it so he can keep it in his "box of stuff." His wife found it in an old house. So far it's cleaning up very nicely. I quit shining at the 1200 grit as the razor appeared to have a satin finish of about that grit. Handles shined up with a rag and look nearly new.

He brought it to work this morning and handed me a nearly new looking Union Cutlery box marked SPIKE 5/8. I was really looking forward to seeing that. Then I pulled this out of the box. It's a nice one too.

    TRU-EDGE 5/8

    Peter J. Michels

Tried the forum search and either I'm not doing something right or there are no others here that match the name or the maker.

Any info is greatly appreciated. Not looking to sell or buy. Just trying to fill in the blanks.

    Thanks in advance,
    Willie

Peter J Michels also dealt with C-Mon, importing them, if I'm not mistaken. Not sure about the origins of your blade, though.

I have a Peter J. Michels. It's called a "square deal" and has a Bel-Aero Brand on the reverse.

6/8" blade, really hard steel. After it was dialed in, it is one of my best shavers.

I have one that I posted in the PJM club: http://straightrazorpalace.com/razor...80200-pjm.html

It's a great shaver as are all the PJM razors I have.

Thanks for the info. I gave it back to him this morning.

Didn't do a whole lot of messing with it other than to tidy it up a bit.

He was happy and that's what counts.
