Thread: Ever hear of GH Pumacker?

I stumbled across a not great but not awful looking blade at an antique shop with Black Diamond on one side and GH Pumacker New York on the other of the tang. I haven't been able to find anything about this razor yet. They were asking $23 for it and if it turns out to be worthwhile I might go back and try to talk them down.

So does anyone have any experience with them or know anything about them?

I have two Grah & Plumacher razors, one of which is a "Black Diamond", which is an excellent razor. The other is a "Silver Ring". Can you provide a photo, especially of the info stamped on the tang? That would help a lot in sorting out the origins of your razor.

That Tang stamp looks very close to the one I saw. I didn't take a picture of it while I in the shop. Do you know the difference between Grah Plumacher and GH Pumacker? This was also a wedge and I haven't been able to find another one online with details. It was stamped Solinger not New York now that I think about it. That was the thing that drew me to it.

Apparently they are two different companies that used the same trade mark. A previous thread explored this same question.
