    LIke I said earlier, just get yourself a small can of mineral spirits for the removal of the tape residue; the residue will then practically melt right off. Just peel a little piece of the tape off slightly, then grab it with a plier and then rip it off. Then run a rag with a little mineral spirits on it and presto! It'll look like new again.

    Ok, I'll try that (btw has anyone tried turpentine as opposed to mineral spirits?). This does not look like glue residue though, but a slight oxidation where the edge of the tape was located.
