    Right. Each maker has their distinct styles, but I was refering to the blade design (nose to heel, not so much the tang/tail), and also the use of torque screws and the spacing at the bottom of the scales versus the traditional end spacer...

    I pretty much agree with Chris. I might add a shoulderless grind and the option of either a square point or an oblique point either with or without the barbers notch. The arched tang is important to me. Both top and bottom of the tang should have jimps.
    For a lot of us the blade is much more important than the scales. We are users of straight razors, not collectors. We like beauty as well as anyone but the function factor is most important. We want a fine grained steel that we can hone ourselves.

    In terms of what grind we prefer, well thats a wide open question. I prefer a stiff grind, either a single concave or a thick 1/2 hollow. But thats just me.
