I own both and they will both never be leaving my personal collection. I think I give the nod to the Livi though as it really is just a smooth shaver. But, I shaved with it a couple days ago and haven't used the Le Grelot for awhile so that could bias it a bit. When I did shave with it though, it stood out head and shoulders above most everything I've been shaving with recently.
In the end, you really can't go wrong with either. If I become more picky I would just keep the Livi, sell the new grind Le Grelot, and hold onto my vintage Le Grelot (Le Jaguar) if I had to pair things down.

Yea I have both and I agree you won't go wrong with either. I would give the nod to the Livi because I think it looks nicer and a big factor is the Livi is a snap to hone. The le Grelot can be a bear by comparison.

I have both too. They are both good shavers. If I could keep only one it would be the Livi.
Both holds the edge well, but the Livi is #1 there too.

I have got both, I prefer the Grelot. The Livi regrind has too big a shoulder that seriously gets in the way on the hones.

Well then I'm stoked to have succumbed to SRAD today, picking up an Abalone new grind from SRD. I sure hope you weren't considering that one.

Regardless of which razor you get the shave quality will be dependent of on the quality of honing. Each of the razors you noted as well as many many others have the potential for great shaves.
