I will let you all know what I think of the Livi new grind tonight as I just received mine today. Talk about a great Friday!
I have an T-I Oak Wing that I love, but I don't have any Le Grelots. I hear they are fine shavers, so some day I will get one.
I also own a Dovo Flowing, and it is a fine shaver, but the Livi is a custom and not really comparable in terms of price and what you are getting. It's the odd man out in your list, if you ask me.Last edited by Speedster; 03-16-2012 at 10:18 PM.

Personally, I would go with the Livi. I have one and it's a super shaver. The Le grelot is great also. You won't go wrong with any really but to me it's between the TI and Livi. Get the one that speaks to you.

I have been eyeing the Livi New Grind area on SRD since Christmas, so when I saw the Abalone INOX 6/8, I lept so fast I'm fairly certain there was air between the chair and my butt. Sorry, sir. Get a Le Grelot! T-I makes wonderful razors. Then, snap up the next Livi New Grind the nanosecond you see the blade posted.

Thanked: 11I'd get the Carpe Diem just for the name. Fitting somehow for a straight razor. I do plan to buy one one of these days. I should add I can't speak to the quality of any of them, I just like the name.

If price is not a problem buy a Dovo for practice & the Livi or T.I. for later use. As a newb, accidents are more likely. A Dovo is more easily replaced than a Livi.
