    Default Razor brand help??

Good afternoon, Does anyone have any ideas on the manufacturer or origin of this razor? The blade is 3/4".The box is original to the razor and there is a label inside sleeve insert that reads "sharpened and repaired by E. Wasserman cutler and grinder, 152 Wayne St. near Mi" label missing after that. Chinese? States made in Germany but....... Thanks

    Hey there.

According to the "German Cutlers, Toolmakers and Metalsmiths" PDF there was only one German Cutler (in this book) that used Chinese symbols for their maker mark, they were Fertsch & Laeisz, Hamberg Ring, or just Fertsch.
I'm not 100% on this, I am awaiting my copy of Goin's encyclopedia, if that says different I will let you know I would think the note on the sleeve was just that, a note to the owner.

    Thanks

    Carl.

    Carl,
Thank you for the information. Looking forward to anything further. The razor and box show what appears to be an Old English letter A at the start of the line of text. I guess we'll see if anyone else has some thoughts too.
    Cheers, Marty
