Default Auction Tonight Went Well - Razors and Hones

I got this tonight at the local auction house. It was the only thing I wanted and of course it was on the last damn table. For the price I have no complaints at all, not even the three hour wait to get it.

The hones are Boss Barber & Pike Belgian Hone - both are very excellent condition.

The Griffon Razor 5/8 in celluloid is a beaut., there is no noticalbe hone wear.
The Geneva is 7/8 in Horn- big boy.
The W&B 5/8 is nice, but the faux ivory scales are warping a little.
The Marsh 7/16 toe - 5/8 heel, has some scales rot going one, but otherwise look nice.
The Torrey is 5/8 in blonde horn. Some rot going on, but should be able to fill with crazy glue.

Wow nice haul. I've been waiting to go to some auctions/estate sales to find some razors.

Very nice, I don't think I've ever seen a 7/8 Geneva. Cool coticule too. Looks like the ink stamp is faintly visible so it probably hasn't been used.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Those griffins are under estimated shavers... I got one from my uncle and it shaves great! For some reason they don't sell for much though, I see them all the time for low prices?

Thanks for the comments. I was in it more for the hones than the razors. I didnt own any before last night, now I can start learning to hone.

Last year I started collecting razors, now I am ready for the season to bring me many more. The lady of the house said that I need to get a proper case or display soon - or else she said I have to get rid of a bunch. So I am now on the hunt for a small display counter.
