    Default ERN Ator information

Gents, a friend of mine has given me his grandfather's (possibly great-grandfathers) razor to restore and has also asked my about it's vintage etc.
It is an ERN Ator with blond horn scales. The only Ators I have managed to find have molded scales with the word Ator on them.

Could any one give me any idea of the age/history of this razor.

    Thanks.

Did you look at the two pins close???
sometimes people switch the scales but don't change both the pivot and the wedge pins, and it is a giveaway that the scales were changed in the past..

I have seen quite a few ATOR's also but like you in the molded scales and numbered

Glen, thanks. I checked the pins last night before I discaled it and they were both the same; same washers same quality of peen etc.

The blade is numbered, a bit hard to see under the rust.

I was thinking early 1900s at the oldest, the Ator trademark was register around 1905.
