    Default wheat sheaf cutlery co?

    Just picked up a wheat sheaf cutlery 13/16" wedge ,never heard of this maker before i think it will clean up niceName:  10-14-11 001.jpg

    Looks like a great find and should clean up very nicely. I have no experience but I believe Wheat Sheaf was around between 1853-1919 and run by the Wheatley Bros. at the Wheatsheaf Works, Sheffield, England.

    It is my understanding that water power was necessary to turn grinding wheels in the early days. This is why many makers sat along the river Sheaf, such as this and Greaves Sheafworks.
