    Quite possible. But my carbon steel Dovo Best Quality definitely responds more easily to my canvas and leather strop than my stainless Dovo Renaissance. It could be the difference in the shape of the blade of course, but this is all I have to compare (I also have a 'silver steel' razor which I think is somewhere in between).

    You can get great carbon and great stainless. You can't go wrong with either, the important thing is that the razor is a good quality one.
