Thanked: 2any other info on the brand? any symbols or other words/numbers we should know about. I looked for Garibaldi in my Encyclopedia and found nothing.
I suppose you could give it a stropping and find out the hard way.

Don't know about the razor but it's a pretty good biscuit!

This link is the razor I bought. I probably paid too much, but I did consider the seller and thought it may be a good buy. You all were correct about Altima. He has been great to deal with.

It's a very nice piece. Altima and I have tangled over some restoration items in the past. I've seen worse pieces go for a lot more.

If it's from Altima55, it's good stuff!

It was from Altima55 and I did buy it. He mailed it yesterday. Now I have to try and patiently wait. He also offered to give me instructions to correctly strop if I call. He also told me o practice stropping with a kitchen knife. So. I wait and wait and wait. It will be a long 2 or 3 days. LOL
I also want to thank you guys for helping out.

Use a butter-knife instead.
