    I don't know why but it sounds German to me. I have heard of a JAS Scott straight and it was German. The scales are bone and look to be quite old.

    There are 2 crosses and JAS is inbetween. Yes its very old and nice. Doesnt look german to me but i dont know.

    no. 36802): J. Albert Schmidt, Solingen.
    Registry class: 9b. Style: block.
    J.A. Schmidt & Söhne, Solingen in 1922.
