    Default Help identify manufacturer

I have a very nice 6/8 round with Robert Kelly and Sons - Liverpool and Manchester stamped on the tang. From the little I can find out about this company I understand they were retailers rather than manufacturers so I'm trying to establish who the manufacturer could have been - the reverse side of the tang has Made in Germany (in an oval) and 76 stamped but what I'm hoping someone will recognise is a distinctive motif of a stick man (similar to twinworks) holding a fish from an outstreched right arm. There is also some nice cross hatching between tang and blade.

Unfortunately my camera will not get a good enough close up to post a picture but I'm sure someone will have come across the stick man before.

    Hey there,
They were manufacturers, the razors these guys put out there are really good. They are easy to hone, keep the edge, and are generally amazing shaves. I compare these razors to Crown and Sword in both looks and performance.

In the last 24 hours I've honed a Filarmonica 13 and this Robert Kelly and they were very similar on the hones. I shaved with the Filarmonica for thr first time and can now understand why they are in demand. It's a step up from evertything else I've used before.

Because they feel so similar I will try the RK next time and post an explanation.
