Thread: Double Duck Dwarf?

Hey guys,
So yes I am a noob, and this question has most likely been asked a ton of times, but what's up with the Double Duck Dwarf? Is it smaller than most? The reason I ask is that I still am having trouble with shaving some areas of my neck with my straight. I realize a DFS is great, and the neck is difficult & I am still learning, but if I can have another excuse/reason to tell my SWMBO I NEED another razor, that would be awesome. So help a brother out...right!

Yes it's a little smaller but personally I don't think the size is different enough to make a difference on the neck. Maybe something like a kamisori might be your solution or maybe a razor with a smile to it. I have the same neck problems and find those type razors work better.

The Dwarf is the Bresduck model of the Pearlduck 'Special #1'. They're on the thick side of extra hollow, measuring about .010" taken 1/8" above the bevel. This measurement is the same as the more lauded 'Wonderedge'. The main difference between the Wonderedge and the Dwarf/Special is the glitziness of the scales and the length of the cutting edge. The special and dward are shorter blades - which I prefer.

If the issue w/ the neck is dealing w/ curved surfaces, the Dwarf prob won't give much benefit beyond being a wonderful shaver. Possibly a blade w/ some smile for the curved landscape. My own neck has the lay of the stubble going every which direction, so the real solution may just be getting to know which stretches and strokes will take care of it. I won't mention this to your Missus, of course, 'cause you'd probably LOVE the Dwarf. 'Great edges, great shaves.
