Thread: First Post.. New Razor.. What Japanese blade

Hey guys. Brand new member here and looking for some advice. I have a TI hollow ground with no other identifying marks. Bought it new and tried my hand at honing and stroping. I have stroped the daylights out of it and am only getting a ok shave. Should I start over or continue to strop in hopes of improving the edge? Am also considering purchase of a Japanese made razor from an online dealer that is shave ready. Any thoughts on the best Japanese blade?

Just guessing but I think the razor needs some honing not stropping. As far as Japanese razors go (if you mean kamisori) there are just a few being made today so whatever you get is about it.
