Size:  57.2 KBJust picked up an new project and i cant find any info on it. Just wondering if its worth the time to finish it. Anyone have any experience from this company? One side of the tang is stamped Brillant Cutlery Co Germany. Thanks for the info.

    It is absolutely not worth doing anything more with this blade - send it to me immediately for proper disposal.
    Seriously though - it looks like a good blade to me and, even if it doesn't shave well (which I doubt will be the case), the lessons that you learn during the restore process will be invaluable.
    I have found that some of the lesser known makers make great shavers, so enjoy the experience and see how it works for you.
    Also be aware that you don't shave with the name.
    Importantly - hang on and enjoy the ride.

    They were in business from about 1910-1930. That is about all I can tell you other than it should clean up nicely.

    Possibly, you're right.
    I believe, you got the info from Goins'. This info is about Brilliant Cutlery Co.
    But here is Brillant Cutlery Co. without letter "i".
    Of course, "brillant" in German can be "brilliant" in English.
    But there is Brillant trademark. The owner was Gebrüder Rauh company, located in Solingen-Gräfrath.
    They were in business since the end of 19th century till July 1957.
