    Question What is this razor???

    Is this blade a near wedge or quarter hollow???

    also does the grind/spine look uneven ?

    im thinking the back of the spine might be what is uneven.. the hollow grind might be off too.. i'd guess that it'll hone up just fine.

    That razor is a razor!

    Honestly, I wouldn't worry about the grind unless you can't get it to take an edge and need to find a reason why.

    Well the reason im asking is because the razor is a bit pricey and don't want to pay that much for something with a defect like that

    If its from a reputable seller, they'll make it right if there is a problem. If its eBay, you asks your questions (of the seller), pays your money, and takes your chances.

    I doubt there are many perfectly ground razors out there, but minor grind issues seldom matter at all.

    If you can send it back do so - you'll never be "happy" with it if it bothers you. Lots of other razors out there.

    Reground by an amateur? Lots of wedge razors (especially Sheffields) were reground later to a more or less hollow ground shape. If the blade gets too hot during regrinding it loses its hardness.
