Thread: info plzzz

Hello All,

Just found a straight razor that appears rather old. It is stamped on the blade itself:
WESTERN B.S 62 ( possibly C2)
SALT LAKE CITY
MADE IN GERMANY

The other side of the blade says:
UNION MADE (In the union logo)
HAND FORGED

Am a bit confused with the Salt Lake City and made in Germany?? Any one that could shed some light on the the orgin of this would be great! Thanks for your time and have a fabulous day/weekend

The handle seems to be made of wood,

I am not familiar with the brand as such, but these kind of things were very common.
The makers in Solingen made razors for distributors and resellers all over the world, and they were branded with that company's name as well.
