    Default Beardsley & Alvord

Ok, so this was an impulse buy. I got it for just under $30 so I thought I would take a risk. I am not sure what I am gonna do with it.

There are only two things to do with it: 1- Hone it, 2- Shave with it. It looks great, congrats.

Yeah, I am not sure if I wanna use this to practice honing skills on. Or should I just go for it? I have been looking for an excuse to buy a Norton 4000/8000

Why not get it pro honed then practice maintaining the edge on the 8k ?

Maybe save the restorative honing practice for even cheaper buys.

I found a rusted old Torrey that I cleaned up. I used regular sandpaper at first so...uhh...then I read up on how to do restorations. I went to Advanced Auto and got some automotive sandpaper. But the blade is so small, not sure if it would be ideal to learn on. I think it is a 4/8 or somewhere in that area.

True, and if I destroy it I will not feel bad I guess. The Torrey was only 10 bucks.
