oh man, you did pay a pretty penny for that.
he had it up (maybe only for a day) for $50 less the day before you bought it...strange.
he actually tried to sell that on the B&B first and everyone kept asking him to open it...he said "but if i open it then the value as a collectable will be lost...maybe i am trying to sell this to the wrong crowd". i thought that was particularly funny considering you would think a community of straight shavers would be exactly the right crowd to sell it to...go figure.

Red Imps are nice razors. I don't understand the objections over the price - seems pretty much the same ballpark as any other brand new razor of that quality, and you don't find these sealed in the package every month.
If you don't value new razors, that's one thing, but since new razors keep selling in large volumes, obviously plenty of people value them.
I think the chances are you'll be quite happy. Just strop and shave - back in the days the factories used to hone them quite well.
