Default Nearly a whole month had gone by with no sign of RAD...

I've been saving up all my fun money for a larger purchase next month.

I eschewed anything but the most tempting of eBay fruit (I'm looking at you, Jonathan Crookes!).

I started working on a batch of 5 razors to sell. I traded away two others!

    And then something happened.

These four razors (none of which are in my possession yet):

    Hiram Gilbert, New York
(I suspect made by Wade & Butcher -- strike that, make it Joseph Elliot)

Scargill. Oh how I've wanted one of these...

    R. Wade, Warranted.
    So much for saving money.

So you're the one who outbid me on that Scargill! I was also eyeing the Wade. Hope they're as good as they look!

Aye! I hope you got some cool stuff too.

It's gonna be interesting to have that stuff in-hand... Most of it looks to be in good shape (considering), though the Elliot is going to require the abrasive love of serious cleaning.

Joseph Elliot, NEW YORK pressed scales
Today, I've finished .pdf "The history of Joseph Elliot & Sons (Sheffield) Ltd."
    May be, it would interesting.

Very timely! I had just started to seriously dig into the history of the company. I don't know why it took me so long, the Joseph Elliot blades I have are among my favorites.

Oh yes! I don't know how useful (or accurate) this is, but over here there is mention that Joseph Elliot also absorbed the marks for J and I Barber, Cadman and a handful of others.

There isn't a stated source for that information though.
