So it does! I thought I'd already posted this, but after a tiny bit of looking around, I'd come to the conclusion that the Hiram Gilbert was likely a rebadge of an Elliot blade. Your old Elliot really bolsters that theory! I wish the Gilbert had that lovely old blade etch though. Have you considered taking a piece of 2k grit sandpaper on a dowel and polishing up the highest parts to make that pop out more?
Also worth noting, the Hiram Gilbert seems to use the same typeface die:

Sure have - since this pic was taken she's been unpinned - the scales were cracked through at the wedge. She's now in the cue for a light blade restore and a new pair of replica scales. No idea what the etch says or shows - will be leaving that face alone though, I have a feeling even polish will kill it.

Just spotted your edit - the font seals it IMO, these blades are brothers

Yeah. That's a tough call. The design (whatever it is -- I see a decorative border near the toe and a bunch of... stuff everywhere else) has enough open space in it that it might be difficult to polish just the microscopically raised parts. But I have had some like clarifying the parts of a similarly shallow etch that weren't destroyed by corrosion just using 2k sandpaper (on some kind of rigid support) and careful, constantly checked sanding.
