I picked this up at a local antique store. wade and butcher dont know anything other than that. looks like it could be restored??

Don't see why it couldn't be.

Hard to tell from the pics how bad the rust/stains are toward the toe and hard to see the edge, but it can be made to shave again. Might be a 4/8 after you get done though.

I have my doubts... it will at least require sanding or very heavy buffing. You'd have to say good-bye to the engraving, and still the edge might be a pitted-up mess. Clean it up with some super-fine steel wool first, maybe it's not as bad as it looks. Nice scales, though.
