Default Flea Market find: Schutz-marke Hyane

The other day I have come across this 6/8 straight razor
the blade is inscripted with the following words:
    REVOLVER STAHL
    GEORUNDED 1889
    on the tang:
1997 followed by the image of a hyena an then "5 YAHRE GARANTIE SOLINGER"
I strongly believe it is stainless steel
although it was harder to none than my Dovo 5/8BQ it takes a better edge and it shaves amazing
honing piramid on Naniwa 3k/8k, finisher Naniwa 10k, 50 linen (with chalk), 100 leather

Unfortunately I could not find any information about this straight razor, If anybody knows something please share
If you wander, I paid 25 euro on it

To me it seems to shave better than the Dovo I have. It is smoother whereas the Dovo is harsher. I have also noticed that the bevel on the edge is narrower than that on my Dovo BQ half hollow, although this may be because it is full hollow (it is my first straight razor of this tipe)

That spine is very similar to one of my Dovos. I wonder if your razor is a rebranded Dovo?

I really don't think it is a rebranded Dovo, although you could be right. It clearly sais on the box Schutz-Marke, the model of this particular straight razor being HYANE (the animal hyena).
The pictures don't do justice to the razor, it is much shinier in person which traces of gold on the tang and spine

I just bought a Hyane 5 Jahre Garantie Solingen razor too! On the back it says No 12 6/8". No box etc. It's a nice heavy 1/4 hollow and shaves great now that MJHammer honed it for me. I couldn't find any info on this razor but I don't think it's recent production.

I put up a photo for SOTD with it. Not a good photo of the razor, but I'll try and add it here.

I'm not really liking the spine but I love everything else. Great find!
